# Loot Boxes

Loot Boxes are purchasable and farmable items within the game. Usually, they are released alongside events like [Seasons](/blockchain-cuties-universe-knowledge-base/bcu-mechanics/game-mechanics/seasons.md). 

In loot boxes, players can find [crafting ingredients](/blockchain-cuties-universe-knowledge-base/bcu-mechanics/items/item-types/ingredients.md), Cutie [crafting tokens](broken://pages/mfjp3hY1c9RKFPCoB4zc), Adventure, and Raid [Energy](/blockchain-cuties-universe-knowledge-base/bcu-mechanics/items/item-types/consumable-items/energy.md). 

During the event that the loot boxes are released, there is a way to improve those loot boxes with [tool items](/blockchain-cuties-universe-knowledge-base/bcu-mechanics/items/item-types/consumable-items/tools.md) that unlock additional potential rewards in the loot box drop tables.
