The night before the Storm
The powerful leader of Dis knew that they were alone in the fight against Daegna’ar’s army. He was sure that the battle was won before it started, until reports from the surrounding outposts started to roll in, telling Sahmael that he gravely underestimated the oncoming threat. The army was smaller, yes, but it was well equipped and has been using the energy harvested from the souls of the damned to power their weapons and armors. Not to mention, they’ve had some strange sentient war machines that knew no pain, nor could be easily destroyed. Daegna’ar’s army proved to be quite a formidable foe according to these reports. Adding to the upcoming battle, Sahmael knew that the city was alone in this, and no one would come to aid the leader of Infernum, if anything Adamanthryx would be itching to exploit the situation for their benefit.
There was one thing that Sahmael could do to have an ace up his sleeve against Daegna’ar. The primordial was certainly important to the newcomer, he must turn her against the foreign warlord.
He went up to Eireen’s chambers and began his dastardly dance of lies and deceit. They’ve talked for hours. Sahmael told her amazing things about this world, and how much Eireen meant to him and his kingdom, and by the end of the evening, Eireen had been drowning in his ocean of lies, and loving every little thing he told her. They’ve finally embraced, and that is what Eireen was longing for all this time since the king of Faomori was brought to her lab. She finally had someone to support her, cherish her, and love her for who she really was.
Sahmael has spent the night in Eireen’s chambers. After their night together, it seemed like Sahmael had gotten what he wanted, he turned cold and collected, ordering the guard captain to rally the troops and prepare for the upcoming battle. The scouts brought news that the army of the overworld is going to arrive at the gate in half a day.
